I was recently diagnosed with three blood clots—one in my right leg, which had already experienced trauma from a cat attack in 2020 that required three surgeries, and two in my lungs, one near my heart and one in my right lung. This has left me short of breath all the time and struggling to walk. On top of this, I already manage rheumatoid arthritis in my neck and spine, intracranial hypertension that causes severe headaches, as well as Crohn's disease, IBS, and diverticulitis. These health challenges have made daily life incredibly difficult, and my ability to work has been severely impacted. My FMLA will only cover half my salary once it begins, making it even harder to keep up with essential bills.
