August 2024 update from his mother:

”After 8 years Tiago still fights his rare condition (Anorectal Malformation) . He was born with a condition called an Imperforate Anus.

In his country Barbados there are currently no pediatric surgeons or team. Tiago is having serious fetal impact in his stomach which is affecting his bowels and urinary tract. Tiago needs serious and urgent surgical intervention! Please help Tiago save his bowel and urinary function!”

Little Tiago was born with a rare condition called an imperforate anus. He has undergone numerous surgeries and procedures and is now 6 years old. His management began very late, and his medical maintenance has been a struggle to obtain as his care and daily medical needs are not provided in Barbados. His needs are very expensive, and due to numerous setbacks, his condition has deteriorated, and his medical requirements have drastically increased. We now fight for his kidneys to avoid fatal results. Tiago needs 6-8 medical catherizarions and enemas daily; the family will need nurse assistance, other serious interventions, and future intense surgeries to fight his condition and current health state. Please help us fight for Tiago.
