Hi everyone!

As you may or may not know, Tia was recently hospitalized for a mental health issue. To be blunt, it was a suicide attempt. Her depression, which she has been hiding from me her whole life, overtook her, and she overdosed on her depression medications. She was in the hospital for four days before being transferred to a psych ward hospital for eleven more days. Thank you to those of you who reached out to us during that difficult time!

After being unconscious for the first two days in the ICU, ever the empathetic person that Tia is, she woke and said to me, "I'm sorry Mom!" Of course, I told her it was ok and I was just glad she was awake and to focus on getting better. Then the next thing she was concerned about was the finances. I told her not to worry and that we will figure it out, just get better Tia.

Well, this is me trying to figure it out. Even with health insurance, the total medical bills are over $20,000. On top of that, we are relocating from Texas to California to live with her. This means moving costs, deposit for new place, and double the rent to overlap our places for a couple of months as we transition.

I don't expect to raise the lofty goal I set but I would really appreciate any help you could provide, even $1. Please, in lieu of any gifts to any of our family for the holidays, this is the best way you can help us.
