Hello we are Maria Aguilar De Leon’s family.

If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting my Tia Mari, you know she’s the type of person who thinks of everyone else before thinking of herself. She’s a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a best friend, and a godmother. More recently, she is a cancer survivor.

As some of you may know, last July, my Tia Mari was diagnosed with oral cavity squamous carcinoma. What started out as a dental issue was revealed as all of our worst fears after the biopsy came back positive. Things moved quickly, and after more doctors' and dentists' appointments, the surgery was scheduled for early August. After fighting a long battle through an extensive surgery, radiation, and chemo treatments, she is on a steady road to recovery.

With all of that comes the financial hardship and the responsibility of covering those medical bills. We, as her friends and family, are pulling together to help her through in whatever way we can. So with that, we are reaching out to request whatever donation you can contribute to help make this as stress-free for her as possible.
