Help Thurston Jewelers Rebuild in Minneapolis

Thurston Jewelers, a small business, has been serving south Minneapolis at the corner of Lake and Lyndale since 1910. Under the ownership of current owner, Lloyd, this store has been providing reasonably priced Jewelry, repair and services to everyone in our community whatever their race, creed or lifestyle; and doing so with courtesy and respect.
Unfortunately, the store was ransacked, looted and nearly destroyed during the aftermath of the death of George Floyd. Damage sustained to the interior and exterior of the premises does not allow the business to continue operating.
Lloyd’s intent is to open again and continue to serve Minneapolis. Many have been a customer of Thurston’s for years, if not generations, and believe the loss of this business would be detrimental to our community.
Of particular note should be the store’s generosity and treatment of our seniors and special needs citizens, as well as a supporter of local causes. Thurston’s has maintained this policy for many years and deserves to continue as a business model for the future.
