I'm Ly and I trace my roots back to Hoi An, Vietnam. Many of you have traveled to this beautiful place and have wandered the streets of Ancient Old Town. My dear cousin Thu owns a popular leather and shoe-making shop right in the heart of Old Town. This year, the town has faced one of the largest storms and floods in their history. Much of her floor and inventory was damaged. They closed for two weeks to try to save what they could, only to be hit with another storm. What this means is lost wages and inventory. Thu is a resilient businesswoman, but this climate emergency has set their family back.
Your donation will help replace the store furniture, fix a damaged floor, and allow her to replace inventory. Small businesses in Vietnam are not backed by insurance like they are in the US, nor is there rapid funds available from the government. Your gift will help out her family a great deal! Thank you for considering.
With deep gratitude,
Ly
