Help Through Cancer Surgery and Recovery
As many of you know, I previously had ovarian cancer. In 2016, I got rid of it and thought I was in the clear. Recently, I was told the cancer has returned and will need surgery very soon to take care of the issue. The holidays are coming up and kids' birthdays. The doctor said I will be out of work for about 12 weeks. Anything to help get through these next 4 months will help and be much appreciated.
Update: At this time Medicaid is my only source of insurance. And anyone who deals with Medicaid understands there are tons of hoops to jump through. So for one I had to cut my hours down to part time because they count my teenagers income against me, even tho I don't see a dime. And even tho I have had cancer 2x and also already had tubes removed. Medicaid needs it to be life threatening for there to be a hysterectomy. So Monday Dec 16th I'm having surgery. They will be cutting out a large chunk of my cervix and doing a biopsy to test to see how progressed the cancer is. From there we will come up with a plan of action for treatment. It just seems like the road to recovery will be a little longer than we anticipated. I will keep everyone updated. But anything will help. Thank you!
