Hi! My name is Fern and I'm a trans woman living in the Nashville area with my agender trans spouse Mercury. I've been living here for most of my life and Mercury moved up from Florida to live with me about three years ago. We're hoping to escape along with my girlfriend Olivia (who lives in northern Alabama) as political and social pressures in both of our home states make it increasingly hard to live as trans, polyamorous people without facing job discrimination, ostracization from family, public threats, lack of community and an overall lower quality of life.

We have plans to move to the Bay Area in California this summer as long as we can secure the funds, but saving has been hard with our current low paying jobs, medical expenses associated with trans care, and car dependency. With it being a three person, cross country move from two different home states to one new apartment we expect expenses to be high. An expense breakdown will be detailed below, and any help is dearly appreciated. We're allowing this fundraiser to go past its minimum goal, and any additional funds will be put towards rent as the three of us find our footing and get new jobs.
