Help Those Left Behind

Browncoat Cat Rescue helps cats, regardless of location.  However, after this brutal Covid kitten  season, we're running very short on funding.

Waterloo does not have a humane society.  5-7 cats were abandoned when a neighbor's house was foreclosed on and no longer livable.  He moved in with a family member, and was only coming once in a great while to feed the cats who were left behind.  A couple of weeks ago, he got in trouble with the law and now doesn’t come at all. He gave permission to the neighbors to “do whatever we want with the cats.”   So now they have taken over feeding them but that is only a temporary fix. They are all extremely friendly, but sick with a nasty upper respiratory infection.   At least one is an unfixed female. One is completely blind and living on the porch mere feet from a busy road. These good people have hit dead end, after dead end trying to get help for these cats and don’t know what else to do come winter.

Please donate to Browncoat Cat Rescue, so we can get these cats vetted and inside where they can be warm and safe!  We already have foster homes lined up for two of these cats so far, and just need support from our community to give them the care that they need.  

These cats are going to need to be tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated, put on antibiotics, and spayed/neutered at the very least.  We're also seeing serious coat issues, diarrhea, and dental issues on top of everything else.  These are not going to be a the cheapest cats we've helped this year, but money shouldn't determine one's quality of life. 

Please help these cats; they didn't ask to be abandoned.
