Asalam Wa’alaykum, I’m raising funds to support individuals and families affected by the recent devastating floods in Safi, Morocco. On Sunday, 14 December 2025, the city of Safi, Morocco was hit by sudden and devastating flash floods following an intense period of heavy rainfall. In a very short amount of time, streets turned into rivers, homes and businesses were flooded, and entire neighbourhoods were overwhelmed by fast-moving water. The damage has been severe and deeply heartbreaking.

According to official reports, at least 37 people tragically lost their lives, with many others injured and taken to Mohammed V Hospital.

Dozens of homes and businesses were affected, vehicles were swept away, and many families were forced to leave their homes without warning. Schools were closed due to safety concerns, and many residents are now facing displacement, loss, and uncertainty.

Although my own family was not directly affected, there are people we know personally who were impacted by this tragedy. Seeing the suffering of families and the scale of destruction has made it clear that support is urgently needed.

This fundraiser has been created to help those affected by the Safi floods. All funds raised will be used solely to support individuals and families impacted by this disaster with homes, blankets, warm clothes and food.
