Hi everyone, my name is Jen. My boyfriend and I live in an apartment in CT with our two lovely kittens. We adopted our baby boy, Thor, in June from Alabama. He was found in a trailer park with his 7 other siblings and mom. They were infested with fleas, and sadly, Thor is the only one who survived. George and I rescued baby Thor, and he got driven up here, and we brought him home. He is only 20 weeks old and has had the roughest life already.
About a week ago, he stopped eating, started throwing up, and was barely moving. George and I brought him to the vet, and they ran a bunch of tests. Honestly, we thought, with what the vet had said, he wasn’t going to make it. We found out after many tests that he is diagnosed with FIP, a coronavirus for cats that can be deadly if not treated.
Thor has a long 12 weeks of recovery ahead of him. He has doctor’s appointments to make sure he is progressing on the medicine that he is getting.
All of this has happened so suddenly and has had a huge impact on George and me. The medicine alone in total is $1500, and the appointments are another $400.
We are so truly grateful for any money that you can give so our 20-week-old kitten can live a long life❤️ Thank you all so much!
