Thor has been by my side since before he was born—he’s the puppy of my late aunt Leslie's rescue dog, and he’s been my best friend and adventure buddy for over 13 years. He’s a German Shepherd mix with a gentle soul, always ready to cuddle and comfort anyone who needs it. Thor is incredibly empathetic, great with kids, and even knows some ASL commands as his hearing has faded with age. He’s always been healthy and happy, but recently, things have changed.

A few years ago, I noticed a lump on Thor’s chest. The vet said to keep an eye on it, and for a long time, it didn’t bother him. But lately, the lump has grown and started causing him discomfort. Thor has begun whining at odd times and avoids lying on his right side. I took him to the vet, and they recommended surgery to remove the lump. Unfortunately, the cost is more than I can manage on my own, and payment plans aren’t available. I’ve been denied for care credit, so I’m saving every bit I can, but I know that with help, Thor can get the care he needs much sooner.

Thor means the world to me. He’s been my constant companion through every stage of my adult life, always there with a wagging tail and a loving nudge. Thor is married to my rescue shepherd mix Kiwi. They had 3 puppies together and are best friends.
