I am trying to help Ashley my lovely daughter and hard working PreK school teacher, to pay for the vet expenses accumulating fast from the medical attention of her 5-year-old dog,Thor.  Ashley took her dog to Fairfax Vet on Saturday because Thor seemed to be struggling to pee. The first diagnosis was "crystals in the bladder" to which they run several tests, including an XRay, urinary, and blood samples, and determined to place a temporary catheter in the urethra and send us both home with some antibiotics and an appointment to follow up on Monday. This treatment was $725.


Thor means the world to Ashley, he has really supported her during very stressful situations, he is active, friendly, curious, happy, and loves to hikes.  Unfortunately, Thor didn't get better and on Monday, in his follow-up appointment, he was sent to the emergency hospital for pets in San Rafael where they thought, at the moment, he was going to pass away. Luckily, with IV, oxygen, antibiotics, and other emergency protocols he started to feel better., as you can see in the picture.

Monday charges were $5000 and Tuesday ere $5700. Today Wednesday, the run more test and decided that if he continues to stay alert, and a bit stronger he can go to surgery. They will have to remove stones in the bladder and tear in the urethra and clean the infection on his abdomen. Unfortunately. she was just told that when they were prepping Thor into surgery, they found he has pneumonia, and they can't operate.  So, more time is needed to get him infection-free before surgery. 


We want Thor to survey, he is very young and needs to live, if at all possible a longer life. Ashley can’t pay for all these treatments to keep him alive and well and if you are willing to help, anything will be highly appreciated.
