Hello, my name is Thomeka L. and on April 6th, my family's home was devastated by a fire. My mother, my two children, and I were all living there. Thankfully, we all made it out safely, but the house and almost everything inside was destroyed.

Right now, we are facing the overwhelming challenge of starting over - finding stable housing, replacing basic necessities like clothes, shoes, furniture, and everyday items we lost in the fire. My mother and I are working hard to rebuild not just a home, but a safe place for my kids to grow and heal after this traumatic experience.
