Help Thomas & Tony Build a Safe Space
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out today on behalf of two wonderful people, Thomas and Tony — a loving LGBTQIA+ couple who have become targets of ongoing harassment in their own neighborhood.
Despite being kind, quiet, and deeply rooted in their Lakeview, Michigan community, Thomas and Tony have recently faced disturbing acts of hate: people driving by their home yelling slurs, and even vandalizing their property by spray-painting their fence.
No one should feel unsafe simply for being who they are.
We are raising funds to help them build a strong, secure privacy fence around their home. What they have right now on most of the property is temporary dog fencing, and it’s just not secure enough. This new fence would go around the house and replace what is currently there (dog fencing and old wooden fencing - to ensure it’s congruent). This new fence isn’t just wood and nails — it’s a protective barrier, a symbol of dignity, and a step toward reclaiming their sense of peace and safety.
Thomas and Tony deserve to feel safe in their own home — just like everyone else.
Whether you can give $5 or $50, every donation brings them closer to safety and sends a powerful message: Love is stronger than hate.
Thank you for standing with Thomas and Tony.
Please donate, share, and help us build a safe place for them.
— With gratitude and pride ️
