My name is Thomas, and I am 60 years old, disabled, and currently unemployed. I have always worked hard and taken pride in being reliable and dedicated to my job. Since 1981, I have been part of the workforce, doing my best to provide for myself and meet my responsibilities. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, I am now facing a difficult time. I lost my most recent job just 25 days before I would have vested in my pension, after working there for 10 years. It was a tough blow, especially since I was asked to come in and work a few hours even though they knew they were going to let me go. Since then, I have been actively looking for work, but my disability has made the search even more challenging.

Right now, I am struggling to keep up with my back rent and my LA DWP bill. The stress of possibly losing my home and having my utilities shut off has been overwhelming. I am doing everything I can to find employment and get back on my feet, but I need some help to get through this tough period.
