Help Thomas Relocate After the Eaton Fire
Donation protected
My name is Thomas, and I was born and raised in the Altadena area. I’m asking for your help as I face the challenges of displacement and relocation after the Eaton Fire devastated our neighborhood.
The fire tore through our community, forcing many to evacuate and leaving uncertainty in its wake. While my family’s home was miraculously saved—thanks in part to my efforts staying behind to fight the flames alongside my neighbors—it remains uninhabitable. Officials have not provided a timeline for when it will be safe to return, leaving us in limbo.
When I evacuated, I had only moments to grab what I could: important documents, the clothes on my back, and my beloved cat, Greg. Now, I’m working to rebuild my life in a new location while navigating the costs of resettling. I’m raising funds to cover a few months of rent, relocation expenses, and the continuation of my education.
I’ve been juggling multiple jobs while pursuing night classes at Pasadena City College, studying to become a paralegal. Unfortunately, this disaster has forced me to pause my studies temporarily as I focus on finding stability and creating a path forward.
This experience has been humbling, overwhelming, and uncertain. Your support can help me take the next steps toward rebuilding my life. Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring me closer to finding stability and restarting my journey.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Thomas
