Help Thomas recover from his injuries
Donation protected
Hi everyone. As some of you may know, my dad, Thomas Lurvey, has been climbing trees as long as I can remember. As he enjoys this daily job to support himself and his family, accidents happen..
Yesterday while at a job site, ropes got tangled while cutting the top of a tree off. Before he could react, he was thrown from the tree and fell to the ground. He was immediately brought to Lancaster Hospital, where he had a few cat scans where they found he has a broken collarbone, crushed eye socket, broken ribs, broken bones in his face, and punctured lungs.
Now he is being treated in Dartmouth, where he was rushed to late last night. He is currently in stable condition and in very good hands. Unfortunately, he will be out of work for awhile. We all know he has many friends and family who would do anything to help him.
We are not telling Thomas yet - we want to wait until he is more stable. Our goal of $5,000 will help him now with some of many upcoming bills necessary to get him into recovery. Anything helps, and we will be grateful for everyone’s kind words and donations.
