Hello everyone! My name is Zachary Maat and recently, my father Thomas Maat had lost his right leg from Charcot foot. Charcot foot is a disease associated with diabetes in which the bones in the feet become very weak and eventually disintegrate and shatter. This had happened to my father and the doctors had to remove his leg below the knee in order to prevent any more infection and damage from spreading. He has begun his healing process with physical therapy and a new prosthetic leg, which cost about $2,500 however it was over his budget and he can no longer work (I mean who can with only one leg?) As of right now money is tight and I can’t be there to help him as I’m away for college, so any donation would help a ton pay for medical expenses, and bills until he can learn to live with his prosthetic leg. My father has always loved to hike, fish, and camp, hopefully one day he can do those things again but as of right now the smallest donations would help him get by. Thank you all for your time (:
