During an incident that took place 20th of March in Narooma, hotel staff member Thomas received injuries and is now receiving extensive medical treatment in Canberra hospital.

Thomas has been working at the hotel since last year as part of a trip around Australia with his girlfriend Mercedes. They hit the road last year on the adventure of a lifetime to travel a lap of Australia with no fixed plans other than just enjoying each other’s company and spend time exploring Australia’s natural beauty.

They both fell in love immediately with Narooma and decided to stay for the summer securing jobs at Narooma Hotel where they have been extremely popular with both customers and their work mates.

It is this popularity that has been the driving force behind setting up this Go Fund Me account – all the staff, customers and Narooma community in general have been looking for a way to assist Thomas in his hour of need.

Whilst Workcover and insurance are now engaged and will go some way to assist financially towards medical costs; there are immediate and ongoing expenses that Thomas and Mercedes will desperately need.

Any donations large or small are appreciated – all money raised will go directly to Thomas and Mercedes and will go a long way to helping them out with medical and living expenses during this period.
