We’re reaching out to ask you for your generosity in helping our beloved, Mr. Landfried.

 

Mr. Landfried contracted a very difficult case of COVID-19 in the summer of 2020. Since then, he has been battling various serious side effects. He has often struggled to breathe, and sometimes even to eat. Some of the major side effects have been a partially collapsed lung as well as Gastroparesis, a condition that significantly effects his stomach’s ability to digest food. Mr. Landfried has seen many medical professionals and has received many treatments. He requires surgery soon. Before he can receive the surgery he so desperately needs, his insurance company wants to exhaust every other available treatment first. As a result of that, Mr. Landfried has encountered many dangerous side effects from medications and numerous late-night trips to the ER. For the 2021-2022 school year, Mr. Landfried has been on medical leave and has not been able to teach band, which has been his passion and joy for the past 11 years at Friendswood ISD.  He has lost wages and his medical bills are continually stacking up high and without the ability to come to work and teach, he needs our help.

 

We all love Mr. Landfried dearly! He inspires us, endlessly makes us laugh, is an amazing friend, and is all-round the best teacher and guy! Did you know that he won Friendswood Teacher of the Year in 2019? Mr. Landfried loves teaching band and can’t wait to get better to come back to doing what he loves!

 

Unfortunately, we can’t cure him, but we can help ease his financial burden. He needs assistance to pay rent, his bills, and get back on his feet.
