Friends of the Gale family-

Childhood cancer is a cruel diagnosis in any situation. It is especially cruel when it comes on the heels of another cancer diagnosis in the same family.

Everyone's favorite Spidey-loving, Hulk-smashing 4-year-old, Thomas, was recently diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. What started out as a small lump on his face has turned into a life-changing diagnosis. While Steve and Jenna are ready to do everything humanly possible to get to the other side of this, some of you are aware Jenna just recently completed her own cancer treatment for triple-negative breast cancer. She and Steve had both just recently returned to work when Thomas' diagnosis turned their world upside down again.

What we know so far is that we are in it for the long haul. The goal is cancer cured, and that starts with 42 weeks of chemotherapy. We trust that the experts at Seattle Children's will do their jobs well, so as their community, let's do ours: show Steve, Jenna, Nora, and Thomas that they are not in this alone. That they have more people than they could possibly realize that love them and want to help. With paid time off depleted and uncertainty ahead, let's alleviate the financial stress so they can just focus on what needs to be done to get Thomas to cancer cured.
