My name is Thomas Leathers. I'm 41 years old and I'm in need of a Heart Transplant. I lived in Northern Virginia, with my wife and 2 kids. I am in stage 4 heart failure with only 15% of the right side of my heart working. Since nobody in the state of VA will touch me (I am a high risk patient), My family and I have moved to Tennessee for a transplant at Vanderbilt University. For transplant however, my family and I are in need of help. I have not been able to work anymore because of my failing health, and my wife is not working either so she can take care of me and the kids. The hospital is requiring that we raise at least $5,000 for post transplant expenses, food, rent, other bills that we may have.

Nobody likes asking for help, but when it comes down to literal life or death, I need to put my pride aside and do whats best for me and my family in the long run.

I understand that times are tough for everybody, so anything helps! However small it may be.
