Fighting Leiomyosarcoma

Hello, we are Thomas and Leah, and our world was flipped upside down last month. What we thought was a simple procedure for Thomas came back with a devastating diagnosis: Grade 3 Leiomyosarcoma (LMS), a rare and aggressive soft-tissue cancer.

As a dedicated husband and the loving father of our two young boys—Wyatt (5) and Westley (1) the news was a punch in the gut to say the least.

We face six weeks of intensive radiation, followed by major surgery with a complex recovery. On top of this, we are awaiting critical scans to determine if this aggressive cancer has already spread to his chest.

Emotionally, the stress has been tough and now financial troubles are looming. Even with insurance, medical bills for radiation, surgery, and care are piling up. The required time off work for treatment, Leah needing to work less during Thomas’s recovery, as well as scans and tests for the rest of Thomas’s life all lead to a substantial amount of money.
