My sister Samantha's fiance Tony (Antonio Martinez) died in a tragic accident while on his way to work on March 9, 2017. Tony was a good guy who was doing his best to provide for his young family.

With three beautiful, young children (3-year-old Cyrus, 1-year-old Sonya, and 7-month-old Ava), and another baby on the way, Sammi's need for all types of support is real.

Sammi is overwhelmed by grief and the prospect of single-motherhood. Funds raised by this campaign will be transferred directly to Sammi to cover immediate pressing needs including: food, diapers, and formula for the children, bills, and counseling. Remaining funds will be used for housing, buying a safe, reliable vehicle, and for child care expenses when Sammi goes back to work.
Other needs/ways to help:
- Employment: Tony was the sole earner in the family. Sammi will need some time to pick up the pieces but will eventually need to find work. She's been focused on caring for her children the past few years, but is extremely bright, motivated, and a quick learner. Please contact me if you are in SLC and have any job prospects I can pass along to her.
- Housing: Sammi and the children are currently housed with my mother, but they will need a more permanent solution. In addition to housing expenses, without recent rental/employment history, renting an apartment could be a challenge. Any ideas or leads on affordable housing or organizations that may be able to help would be appreciated.
