Well TikTok demanded I do it, so here it is. This stray tuxedo has blown up on TikTok when I found her sleeping on my car every day for years. She would always run away at the sight of me, but a few days ago she suddenly warmed up to me and let me pet her. After that she started waiting on my car for me to go to school and would become so affectionate. She began rubbing on me, meowing at me, giving gentle love bites, and then... purring. The TikTok video I filmed of the day she purred at me currently has over 600k very unexpected views and about 900 comments asking me to make a gofundme for her. As they say the Cat Distribution System has hit me. The trouble is the timing is terrible and we already have a cat. We've introduced them briefly, outside, and they get along, but this stray tuxedo needs to see a vet before we can let her really interact with ours. She is covered in scabs and bald spots, and is so filthy she leaves mark everywhere she lays. We're pretty sure, like most of the strays on our block, she has fleas and worms. So we need to get her to a vet before we can see about taking her in or finding her a home, in case she has any diseases or complications we can't have in our apartment. She also may be pregnant as many commenters pointed out, but we're not so sure. However, she also may be in heat which we may want to get her treated sooner, before she becomes pregnant. The trouble is, she decided to be all friendly on my car, on my first days back to school after I lost my job. I have spent all the money I have for a while on tuition and supplies and wont be able to work in that time to make any extra money for expenses such as vet care and extra animal needs. We are living dangerously check to check right now. Our own cat also needs to see a vet for another, not serious, medical issue that we would need to focus on as well as to not potentially infect the stray. I've never liked crowdfunding or asking for money, but so many commenters asked for it I figured I'd give it a try. Help us help this cat and, if we're lucky, give it a good home.
