My partner and I have been planning a move into a new house since late last year. We had everything scheduled and paid for, and made the move. Two days later, another lovely couple with a full U-Haul and lease agreement showed up to our new rental house.

Turns out, Zillow is somehow not at all regulated and, long story short, we got scammed. Almost $4000 lost to the scammer, and now we're having to pay for another U-Haul, storage unit, and hotel for us and our 4 pets.

We have a police investigation underway, but with the way things processed, we very well may never see that lost money again.

We're working with a realtor to find us a new place ASAP, but this has left us scrambling and scraping together every cent we can to move on. Anything we can get is helpful!!
