Help Quirky Burtie Jack Russell Get the Support He Needs
Donation protected
If you've followed our journey for a while, you’ll know Burt isn’t just “a dog”. He’s my best mate, my little shadow, my partner in chaos and cuddles. Burt’s a cheeky, clever, stubborn, wonderfully quirky Jack Russell who has quite literally kept me going on the darkest days.
Recently, he’s been having a rough time.
His eyes have become sore and inflamed. He’s been chewing at his leg, clearly uncomfortable. And, to top it off, his arthritis has flared up badly again.
We’ve been to the vet, and Burt’s now on Moxicon (a month’s worth of pain relief) and Prednisolone eye drops. We’re due back for a review in a few weeks.
I’ve also turned to a wonderful homeopath - someone I trust deeply - to work holistically with us both, because (as you know) I don’t separate our wellbeing from each other’s. We had a full coaching session together (yes, Burt had a lot to say ), and I received a tailored wellness plan and remedy suggestions to support him naturally alongside the vet care.
The total cost of Burt’s care so far - including what’s already been paid and what’s coming up - is £941.13. That covers recent vet visit, medication, holistic arthritis supplements, our homeopathy coaching session (with another one planned), and hydrotherapy which starts in early June.
I’ve done what I can to juggle things, but some of these costs are still hanging over me and with more to come, I know I can’t manage it all alone. (That’s hard to admit… but if you know me and Burt, you’ll know how much he means to me )
If you’re in a position to donate - even just a couple of quid - it would mean the absolute world. And if not, sharing this helps more than you know.
I’ll be updating this page regularly with how Burt’s doing - the good, the grumpy, and the downright silly moments too. You’ll get to follow his healing journey with us.
Thank you for reading this far and for always being part of our little quirky corner of the world.
Love always,
Lyndsay & Burtie
