Help my post-accident family get back on the road?
Donation protected
In March, we lost our car and nearly our beautiful queen to the clutches of a Mac truck on the wonderful DC Beltway; the stretch of road even Mad Max and the wasteland marauders avoid. The total loss compensation was minimal, but it did allow us to aquire a vehicle all 5 of us can fit in, once it has a fair amount of work done. Anything road ready was way over anything we'd ever be able to manage.
This Honda Odyssey purrs like a kitten but needs to pass our impending inspection due to brakes, suspension, alignment, and tires. We tried to do this ourselves but it's been a very rough few months with the resulting injuries incurred and our income cut in half. Plus the kids haven't seen their grandparents up north in over 2 years, as none of our wheels could fit us all or make the trip, frankly.
Anyone care to help us get back on track in mobile life? We'd be forever grateful. It's been very difficult to take on work, get the kids to where they're supposed to be, or even get to the numerous accident related doctor appointments we have without transportation. Having this new car up and running will change our lives immeasurably and get us started on the literal "road to recovery!"
Thank you so much!
