We are Maisie and Tal, we are 17 and 18 years old and we are doing a sponsored bike ride from Rotherham to Scarborough on Friday 2nd of October, to raise as much money as possible for a childhood friend’s mum, who is going through an incredibly difficult period.
We will be completing the ride to help raise money for Liv’s mum, Lauren, who is living with terminal stage 4 cancer. The money raised will go towards helping her and her family make special memories and enjoy precious time together whilst they still have it.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much and would make a real difference. If you’re able to donate or even just share this go fund me, we’d be incredibly grateful for your support. ❤️
READ BELOW FOR LAUREN’S STORY:
Hello, I’m Lauren, I’m 46 and in January this year 2026 my world fell apart
I never imagined I’d ever have to write something like this, but the doctor draw back the curtain 8:30pm on a Tuesday evening and my life changed completely.
I was diagnosed with terminal stage 4B colon cancer.
The cancer has spread from my bowel to stomach lining 9/52 lymph nodes and BOTH lungs including now mets in my liver
(They immediately removed my bowel and fitted a stoma bag, that was the easy bit)
Until recently, I was worrying about the normal things in life — family, Christmas holidays, birthdays, bills and what we were going to do next etc etc
Now, my idea of what comes next has changed
My biggest wish isn’t for anything extravagant.
It’s TIME ️
