Help This Mom Heal and Keep Her Family Safe

Hi everyone! So back in 2020, I gave birth to my 4th child and only son. Unfortunately, with a series of unfortunate events, I was out of work for about 6 months after I had him, receiving blood/iron transfusions, ended up with three blood clots, was “cycling” for 28 days/month, etc. Finally, after a year of being on blood thinners, two of my blood clots went away and left me with one, diagnosed as chronic. It will never go away. Fortunately, it’s not grown or moved, but also hasn’t shrunk either. After all the complications, I decided to get a tubal and ablation to help with the bleeding and hopefully return to have a normal life. And it did…

Unfortunately, that didn’t last long. In 2023, I was diagnosed with a failed ablation, and now endometriosis as well (2025). I was on medication to help with this, but after two years, and endometriosis starting, the meds no longer help, leaving my only option a hysterectomy. I have been pushing this off for almost a year because we cannot afford for me to be off work, but now it’s to the point where every month I’m in the hospital (also where I work) so I’m losing money, as well as accruing points. In order to save my job, as well as my health and family’s well-being, I had no option but to schedule surgery.

My surgery is scheduled for September 30th, but we are trying to get ahead on bills so we don’t fall behind and lose our home while I’m out. I’m estimated to be out of work for 6-8 weeks. My surgeon said 4 weeks minimum, but due to my responsibilities at the hospital, returning early with restrictions is HIGHLY unlikely.

We’re currently in an extremely tough situation. We have 7 kids, six of which are going back to school in a few weeks and haven’t even begun to get them anything for school. As it’s looking, both of our checks will be going directly towards bills to make sure we don’t lose our house in the process.
