Help this good man's family

Good day and thank you for reading this.

The young man in this photo is Ricky. He has been a member of our hotel's kitchen team for many years and is loved and appreciated by so many here. He is married with a young son.

Just a few days ago on his way into work he was involved in a horrible car crash that, by all accounts, he should not have survived. The injuries were numerous and he has already gone into surgery twice for a shattered pelvis and GI reconstruction. He punctured his liver, dislocated hips and ankles and more.

Ricky fell asleep driving in to work early on that morning. He lives almost two hours away and the long hours that he has been putting in while we get ready for the busy holiday season had caught up with him.

He was just 5 minutes from the hotel when he drove head on into another car. Thank God the other driver's injuries were minor and he went home that same day.

Ricky will be in ICU for some time and then in general care.

His wife Krissi and son Ryker need our help. Without Ricky's income and with the impending hospital and aftercare expenses we are set on doing everything we can do to take some of the burden from the family.

I'll keep everyone up to date on his progress and in the meantime I am appealing to you to help as you may be able.
