Help this family recover from a violent crime

Children's faces blurred to protect their identity.

On Monday evening a young man and woman came to the property with intent to stab my 15 year old stepdaughter over some high school drama. Hearing the commotion outside her mother went outside to see what was going on. The boy pulled out a knife and she chased them away from the house to protect the smaller children that were at the house and draw the attackers away from the home. Unfortunately she went alone and was outnumbered. The female assailant managed to jump on her back, and the male assailant proceeded to stab her 7 times.

She is in the hospital and had to get ALOT of stitches. One of her lungs was partially collapsed and filled with blood. The blade missed her heart by inches.

She will likely miss an entire month of work to recover .

She also has a son with autism who requires 2 workers to handle him and respite care is expensive. We need him in respite care while she is recovering as she needs to heal and I need to work extra. We're aiming for 2500 but respite care can cost up to 10,000 for a month. Anything anyone can do to help is vastly appreciated. I normally don't ask for help but this is a case where we were blindsided and absolutely didn't expect anything like this to happen right at home.

We have 5 children full time and I share 2 more with my ex wife. I work 3 jobs and provide for all the children but losing my partner at work and support at home has really thrown everything for a loop. She is a hardworking person who deserves nothing but the best. She definitely is a hero for protecting her daughter and a few police officers have already commended her for drawing the attackers away from the home. We just need help so we don't get evicted while we are financially recovering from all the extra expenses.
