On Friday, November 12th at 3:23am, a Wantagh Family’s home was left in need of dire support after experiencing a devastating fire. The fire left heartbreaking damage to the entire household, including partial damage to neighboring homes. Homeowners Gregg Liebman and Adrianna Tartakoff must now begin to rebuild their lives while taking care of 10-year-old Lucas, who suffers from Autism, along with 19-year-old Sabrina, and 73-year-old Sandra, who is Adriana’s mother. We are so incredibly grateful to say this beloved family is now safe and no one was injured during the fire. Adriana woke the family up in a panic, while she watched flames devour her home and rushed her family and their dog to safety. In the midst of this tragedy, the family was unable to grab any belongings and were not able to find their very loved cat. With the help of the fire department, police department and neighborhood friends and family, the family was able to find the 10-month-old kitten under a charred couch in the destroyed home, frightened and dirty. After the Police Arson, Bomb Squad detectives and Fire Marshals responded to the fire, the cause of it is still undetermined. This fire has caused unfathomable pain for the family, as they must now rebuild their home and life from scratch. Unfortunately, the family was not able to salvage anything from the house, leaving them only with the clothes on their back that they were sleeping in, their phones and each other. They lost their place of comfort, personal documents, valuables along with irreplaceable mementos they will never be able to get back. Please help support this Wantagh family as they begin to recover and acclimate to a new routine and life. It is immensely different from the balanced dynamic Adriana and Gregg have created and perfected for Lucas, who is still trying to process this tragedy, as they attend to his disability.
