Update- I changed the anount to what it would be to cover a new floor. Not including mold remediation, labor dumpster rental etc. That’s not including any sub floor repair. Also we received a no from two major doors at the start of this. Today the insurance company came out as well as management of the park we reside in. We will be living somewhere else in the interim but I believe that we should receive positive news from 1 if not both.. I will have to spend about 8,000 to cover flooring alone . If it comes to we are case scenario, we will have to finance it. I am also doing a lot of the leg work to keep cost down. Keep us in your prayers and thank you again

Original—Hello all. I am writing this due to being in need of assistance. We recently made the purchase of a modular home for us and our 3 children only to find out after moving in that there are some major issues (3 different types of toxic mold, etc.) that were covered up making the home uninhabitable for my family. A professional company came out and conducted air testing confirming the levels within the home. I’ve talked to lawyers, insurance company the management company that oversees the property the homes sit on and even attempted to reach out to the flooring company that did the work. Lawyers said it would be a lengthy process with the likelihood of recovering funds slim. The insurance company advised that the issue would be based more so from an act of peril. The flooring company will not return our calls and the management politely advised it is not their responsibility nor will they assist in any capacity.

I am hoping that I can raise enough money to cover the cost of having a professional company come in for mold remediation and replacement of the flooring covering up the issue. Or to move all together. I spent the last of our savings putting a down payment on this place and can not afford the extra financial strain. I understand this is a big ask with all that is going on throughout the country and with it being around the holidays. So anything given is truly appreciated. I just would like to have my family settled and not displaced. God bless
