Earlier this week, my sister’s life was turned upside down when her home caught fire. She is an incredibly hardworking single mother of six beautiful children, working two full-time jobs just to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. In an instant, that roof is gone, and along with it, most of their possessions and sense of stability.

Alicia has always been the type of person to push through struggles and put her children first, no matter how tired or stretched thin she may be, but this tragedy is something no one can face alone. Right now, she and her children are displaced, trying to piece their lives back together with very little left.

As you can imagine, starting over with six children is overwhelming. Especially for someone who was already carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. This GoFundMe is to help her rebuild what was lost: a safe place for her kids to come home to, clothing, food, and the basics they need to get back on their feet.
