I’m writing this as her sister because right now she’s carrying more than anyone should have to carry alone and we as her family can only do so much.

Over the past few months, her entire life has been turned upside down. She is now a single mom raising four kids while also trying to keep their trucking business alive — the very thing that feeds her family. On top of that, she is fighting through a divorce and navigating a nightmare no parent should ever have to face.

Her soon-to-be ex-husband was arrested after she discovered he had been sexually abusing her daughters. Since then, she has done what any mother would do — she has stepped up and fought with everything she has to protect her children. She currently has full custody of them, and she was just awarded full custody of her step daughter, who she has raised for the past five years and who knows her as the only mother she’s had.

In the middle of all of this, she discovered their business had been run improperly for years. Corners had been cut that she now has to fix so she can operate legally and keep it running. Right before he was arrested, he also drained thousands of dollars from their account, money that should have gone toward bills and keeping the business afloat. It was spent on gambling and other destructive choices, leaving her to pick up the pieces.

Since then she has been trying to do the impossible:

Raise four kids who are healing from unimaginable trauma.

Get them the therapy they need.

Fight an ongoing legal battle for custody and protection.

Repair and legally operate the trucking business that supports their family, And even start school so she can learn more and build the business the right way.

Her legal fees alone have already exceeded $20,000 and continue to grow. On top of that are therapy costs, business expenses, and everyday life for a family of five.

If you know her, you know asking for help is the last thing she would ever want to do. She is one of the strongest people I know, but even the strongest people need support sometimes.

So I’m asking for her.
