I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult and unexpected times in me and my kids life. I’m a mother of three, and our family is facing a sudden hardship after their father was detained by ICE on Friday night.

Their father contributed financially to my household even through separation. He worked hard as a barber to provide for his children and help cover important necessities, including daycare, personal needs, household bills, and other everyday expenses. He took pride in working hard to help provide for his family, and his absence has left us trying to navigate both the emotional and financial challenges of this unexpected situation.With everything happening so suddenly, I’m doing my best to keep things together for my children and ensure they continue to have the things they need. Unfortunately, the bills and responsibilities haven’t stopped, & in the middle of moving, I’m now facing expenses that I wasn’t financially prepared to handle on my own. On top of our regular household expenses, we’re also having to cover the costs of phone/video calls and other communication services so that we can stay connected with their dad while he remains in the ice facility. His court date is scheduled for November 17, and we’re preparing for the possibility of additional legal expenses and fees during this uncertain time.My biggest concern is making sure my children remain cared for and that we can continue meeting their basic needs while our family navigates this situation. I’m trying my best to stay strong for them, but the reality is that this is a lot to manage financially on my own. I usually cover a good chunk of my expenses since we live on our own but now everything is quickly piling up.

I’m humbly asking for help from anyone who may be able to contribute. Donations will go toward monthly daycare cost, household bills, communication expenses to stay in touch with their father, and potential legal-related expenses as we prepare for his upcoming court proceedings.

Asking for help isn’t easy and this is really out of my comfort zone but right now, I’m putting my pride aside to make sure my children have the stability and support they need during this difficult chapter of our lives.
