Bolingos Kitchen Co. is a food product company founded by marathoner & Registered Dietitian David Reid, RDN. We strive to bring people healthy alternatives to sauces and condiments without compromising taste or texture. We want food to be fun, flavorful, but most of all, good for you! This is why our products are low sodium, free of added sugars, and made with real produce. This makes them great for people who have cardiovascular conditions or need to watch their blood sugar levels (someone with type-2 diabetes).
We're black-owned and highly motivated to get our products out to people who want flavor but value health. We're inspired by our Caribbean roots and Southern U.S. upbringing. Our first line of products are meat & BBQ sauces made with actual fruit!
This year alone, we've managed to craft two products after hours of R&D. We've also applied for and obtained all certifications needed to sell and manufacture food products in the U.S. Additionally, we've secured our commercial kitchen space, had design work completed, and purchased some packaging materials. All in all, our founder David Reid has invested between $10,000 - $12,000 of his own money to get to this point. Unfortunately, we still have a ways to go to get this product to market in a stable and efficient way.
Bolingos is the story of one man striving to bring better food to good people. This is why we're asking for our goal of $11,127. If we can get 219 people to contribute just $51.00, we'll surely hit our goal!
This would go towards more kitchen equipment, packaging supplies, commercial space, labeling equipment, and some raw materials for production. Anything you can contribute is more than appreciated, as we hope to excite taste buds everywhere starting in 2025!
