Hi, I'm Meeshu, a 30-year-old queer Pakistani who made it out to Germany after years of living in the closet. I moved out because I'm queer and staying wasn't a future I could have. With a background in tech, I managed to secure enrollment for my Master's in Germany.

As my first year comes to a close, I haven't been able to find work as a student, the job market is brutal right now, and even odd jobs are out of reach despite having 4+ years of experience. I have been surviving out of my savings, which puts my visa extension at risk and could force me to go back, somewhere I cannot go back to, for obvious reasons.

I also have family depending on me financially, which makes this even harder since that money has been going out of the savings as well.

I need to raise enough money by July to get through the visa renewal process and cover bare necessities like rent, health insurance, groceries, and transport, for at least 3 to 6 months while I keep applying for whatever work I can find.
