Help this beautiful family stay housed!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Barbara, my family and I have been a part of the community we live in for over 25 years. My daughter who's name is Barbara as well; has since grown (as most children do) and has three beautiful children, my grandchildren, whom she has raised here for the past 14 years. Barbara is currently renting a 3 bedroom property and has been for the past six years. The rent has been maintained for the entirety. However the landlords do not wish to continue her tenancy and would like to evict her at the end of this month for "No Cause." She has been looking multiple times daily for a place to move to within her means. In our community there is less than 1% rental vacancy. Because of the lack rentals, my husband and I have talked to the bank about mortgaging a home for them to rent. Unfortunately we are a bit overextended and are unable to do this without a sustainable down payment. My Daughter's credit was ruined 4 years ago when she left a marriage that was toxic for her and her children. My daughter was diagnosed last year with Lupus which is an incurable autoimmune disorder that has already started wreaking havoc on her kidneys she has excess fluid in them and will begin receiving treatment for that. Regardless she works hard to provide for her children at every chance she gets. I realize that we are living in hard times and the housing crisis is not lost on only my daughter and her family. With the money we hope to raise by generous donation will go to getting my daughter and her family a place they can call home. Instead of joining the already massive homeless population a thought that seems to insurmountable to entertain. The money raised will also help her out financially while she is receiving treatments to try and get well. I have hesitated to make this GoFundMe, however I am at the point where I've realized It truly does take a village. If you are able no amount is too small and if you could be so kind to please share. Thank you for taking your time to read this rather lengthy plight In addition please keep them in your prayers.
