Help this amazing family evacuate Gaza

We urgently need your help for our dear friends, Yahya and Doaa, along with their three children: Rawad (10 years old), Tamara (8 years old), and Sila (6 years old). They are currently in Gaza, living in constant fear since the war began, and the situation has become unbearable. They have already evacuated from their home in Khan Younis to Rafah and now have nowhere to go while facing the major threat of a new Israeli attack on Rafah.

Yahya, an exceptional human rights lawyer and activist, has devoted his life to assisting Palestinians in Gaza by providing legal aid for over 15 years. This includes helping them obtain permits to leave Gaza for life-saving medical treatments not available there. His work has been profoundly meaningful, contributing to a well-known local NGO that is internationally renowned as one of the premier Palestinian human rights organizations. Yahya has been an incredible colleague and friend to us, and we wish to return the favor for all of those whose lives he has changed thanks to his advocacy.

Doaa, an aspiring researcher, embarked on her academic journey in 2015, achieving her graduate degree in biology. Continuing with distinction, she pursued a master's degree in biotechnology from the Islamic University in Gaza. While she was supposed to present her thesis in November 2023, the war disrupted her plans. Despite these setbacks, Doaa remains resolute in her desire to continue her studies and obtain a doctorate degree, now only possible outside of Gaza.

The family, especially their three children, lives in constant fear of attacks. The children no longer go to school, and instead have to travel from shelter to shelter. Silla, their 6-year-old daughter, asks daily about when she can go back to school, a simple dream that feels impossible in the current circumstances.

Exiting Gaza is extremely difficult, and the Egyptian organization facilitating travel comes with a substantial cost. Currently, they are requesting $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child. Your support would enable the evacuation of this family from Gaza, offering them the safety and stability they desperately need. Once in Egypt, the funds would support the family in securing accommodation, clothes, medicine, food, and other essentials. All funds will be transferred to Natalia in Los Angeles who will be responsible for transferring the funds to Yayha and Doaa in Egypt.

Any amount contributed would truly help change this family’s circumstance and future. And we, here on the outside, know that it is truly a gift for us all to have Yahya and Doaa continue their excellent work outside and raise their children in peace, safety, and dignity.
