Help this 7 year stray cat, Mochi, to get well

Hi, I’m Aimee and I recently moved into a neighborhood w a very skittish, half feral stray cat. The neighbor told me he had been left behind about 7 years ago when his people moved. After that he kind of became the community cat.

When I moved in I made a point of winning him over, fed him and let him sleep inside a few times when he seemed to need to rest and to feel safe. Slowly I won him over and he started to become more affectionate.

Sadly though a couple months ago he started showing signs of being in distress. He lost weight, lost his appetite and began drooling. Things progressively got worse as he started drooling blood :(

My neighbor and I have taken him to see 2 vets and paid for it ourselves. Both vets had the same recommendations - he needs to have some rotten, infected, teeth pulled.

We’ve spent hundreds on vet bills for the check ups, flea meds, antibiotics and pain killers but the dental surgery will cost $2,150. If we can get close to this number raised I can cover some as well. 

I’ve donated to many rescues over the past few years and fostered a family of dogs from Mexico and a dumped dog.

It breaks my heart to see this sweet cat in pain and suffering and I’m reaching out in hopes that others will want to help this old boy and give him back a good quality of life pain free.
