My name is Milo Brinkkemper, I'm a history teacher in the city of Amersfoort in the Netherlands, but I'm not here for myself. I'm trying to help 25 high school students from Vathorst College (in Amersfoort) and 25 high school students from the Swedish school Tångvallaskolan (in Falsterbo) to get to Japan to meet their Japanese peers.

They have so far only met online, but their dream is to create an art exhibition about what kind of hopes and dreams the three different cultures have for the future. By getting to know eachother they gather more understanding about the differences between their cultures, but they allready notice that there are more similarities between them then there are differences. This generation knows something needs to change and connection between different countries is of the utmost importance!

The Swedish en Dutch student will meet in real life in october 2025, but our dream is for them to meet their Japanese friends in real life in october 2026. They are doing everything they can to gather funds. For example they do chores, organize events at and around our schools, sell lottery tickets and they even sold toilet paper! All to raise enough money to make their art exhibition not just an online idea, but a proper influence in this world.
