My name is Cindy Jenkins and I have had the great privilege and blessing of knowing the Touchette family through our attendance at the Cove Church in Mooresville, North Carolina.
Over the years, I’ve seen Ricky and Ross, mom, Rhonda, and dad, Rick, serve faithfully with love and dedication to ALL members of the Cove and to others in the community through the Cove’s outreach programs.
During the last few years, I have had the pleasure (and gift from God!) of becoming good friends with Rhonda and seeing through a mother’s eyes the wonderful qualities and character of these two young men.
Ricky has worked at the Cove for many years. He is incredibly talented at making everything you HEAR in a church service, from worship to the message, sound as excellent as possible. That is a huge responsibility and an incredible gift he has faithfully used for God’s glory.
He purchased a 2019 enclosed trailer for taking equipment to different locations and campuses. He has personally done special touches inside as he and his family have built stages, sets, etc. for numerous large churches and pastors.
Also stored inside of the trailer were thousands of dollars of boutique gear that Ross has purchased over the years for his music career and his passion to serve God with it. And he did that with amazing talent and flare on the worship team for many years!
The trailer was stolen from the church parking lot on July 13. Neither Ricky’s insurance nor the church’s insurance are able to cover the loss of the trailer and it’s contents.
The Touchette family has experienced many challenges in the last few years. As you can imagine, during this crisis that our nation and the world are facing, this is a difficult loss. Not just the financial aspect, but the personal investments of the time and talent Ricky and Ross had in it.
My desire is that the boys, this entire family will feel loved and cared for by the many people who’s lives they’ve touched so selflessly.
