Howdy ya'll! Beatrice here! I'm making a GFM for Jen, Jesse, myself and our two elderly dogs Odin and Sasha. We need help moving up out of Texas in less than a month is the Tl,dr of it all.

As many folks know we are three chronic queer cuties living in Texas, that is we all have chronic conditions, not that we're chronically queer...I mean we are that too but between the three of us is a mess of auto immune challenges, disabilities, ibs, pots, ciu, and other acronyms that only those in the medical field would understand.

Things are getting much hotter under the collar for us here with ever changing political climate as well as temperature wise which has been rough on our various health conditions. The heat and allergens have become so intense that it's been a physical challenge to exist here, leaving the house for a few hours at the wrong time of the day can leave one of us bed ridden for the next day.

Jen and Jesse are both gay girls who would love to have their body autonomy and better health services with a local government that doesn’t sweep their needs under a rug.

I am a bipoc trans girl who loves my home here but am constantly reminded how scary the world is in the news and to be honest I've grown scared of living in a state that doesn't want me in it.
I'd like to be able to use a restroom and not worry about being confronted, going out on the night and not having to think I'd be a victim of a hate crime just because people can't figure out "what I am". This has been heightened with a local murder if a trans woman and a beating of a trans woman a few miles from where I live. I deserve somewhere safer.

Sasha and Odin are our two very old, very sweet, service dogs, who have had their own rough time with their age to the heat and allergies of Texas.

ANYWAY we're making the big migration up north to New York, trading heat for cold, red for blue, a life hopefully a little easier just to exist as who we are without odd looks from strangers who think we don't deserve basic human rights.

We've been able to find a home we are already excited to move to, deposit has been placed with the savings we had, but now we have to worry about the rest.

We need help with finances for:

Movers: with our health conditions we hope to have professionals at least load and move our furniture. The plan is if we afford full movers, great but most likely we will get a POD and get our furniture transported.

Moving Truck: Chances are whatever we do with the movers, our most important personal items will be handled in a moving truck driven by Jen. From Texas to New York is a two to three day trip. We'll need the truck to rent and gas.

Lodging: With out various conditions, and our elderly dogs they're both around 13, have some health conditions themselves, we are going to need to stop for them and us at motels that allow dogs.

Foods: We're going to be dealing with specific diets and allergies, so we won't be able to just eat at BK, chances are we are going to stock up on making our own meals to get through the days of travel and our week of getting settled in.

Overlap Bills: We're going to have to deal with the growing pains of leaving a home and starting a new home, and unfortunately that is never an easy process to transition bills from one place to another smoothly.

Emergencies: Life is just unpredictable...we hope we can get from point A to B safely.

We know alot of our friends and families are struggling themselves and we're happy with any help, so a few dollars or sharing is still beyond appreciated. We live paycheck by paycheck and this is genuinely a scary but exciting change. I'm blessed to have found a new job that's remote which is letting us make this big leap.

If somehow we do make our goal or past, trust us no money will be wasted. We were really starting to doubt we could make this change, but we're going to try our best.

At the moment we have signed a lease to move in Oct 15th, dropped our entire savings as a deposit, and saving the rest to make sure we can make rent here and first months rent there.

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out our GoFundMe, thank you to friends, or strangers, life has been a trial and I am never forgetful of how the generosity of others have helped mine and our survivals. I hope we get to a place where we can be the same kind of people to financially help others who also deserve a better life.
