My grandmother, Theresa, underwent a double lung transplant on 2/28. While her surgery was successful - by the grace of God, her donor, and her transplant team - there have been many setbacks along the road. She has remained inpatient at Cleveland Clinic for over four months, required ECMO, prolonged ventilator support, countless procedures, and other unexpected complications.

Through this incredible challenge, Theresa has stayed resilient in her recovery. There are no words that can testify to how strong and brave she has been throughout this time. She is so deserving of a chance to breathe freely and do the things she loves. She has been steadily getting stronger, and every little step has brought us closer to having her back at home.

Theresa is not one to ask for help. However, we believe any assistance will help ease the burden of her lengthy recovery.

Your donation will directly assist in any of Theresa’s medical expenses that are not covered by insurance, the extensive list of medications she will be on, and any unexpected costs related to her hospital stay.
