Theodore is part of an incredible team of young thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers—and together, they’ve achieved something truly special. As a first-year participant in Odyssey of the Mind, Theodore joined a team that has spent months collaborating, building, and bringing their ideas to life through creativity and teamwork. Their hard work paid off when they won their Regional Competition, and this past weekend, they earned 2nd place at the State Competition held at Columbus State University in Georgia. Because of their outstanding performance, the team has been invited to compete at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals—an exciting opportunity to meet and compete with students from all over the world.
What is Odyssey of the Mind? Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving program where students work in teams to design original solutions, build sets, and perform in competitions that challenge their imagination, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. It’s more than a competition—it’s an experience that builds confidence, leadership, and lifelong skills.
While this is a team achievement, each family is responsible for covering their own student’s expenses. We are raising funds specifically to support Theodore’s participation in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Costs include: travel to Iowa for World Finals, housing accommodations, competition registration fees, transportation of team set materials, meals, and team-related expenses.
As a parent, there’s nothing more meaningful than watching your child discover something they enjoy, work hard, and rise to the moment. Theodore has done just that. What started as a new experience has turned into an incredible opportunity, and now he has the chance to take it to the world stage. We are so proud of him and his team for how far they’ve come.
