Hi, my name is Katie. I am 16 and a part of a hardworking family that’s going through a tough time financially. This year especially has been super difficult, my mom’s been working extra hours. I know they don’t want to admit it, but I can sense their worry. I am a very independent girl and I’m not someone who asks for help, but right now, I have no choice — because my 11-week-old puppy, Theo, is fighting for his life.
A few days ago, Theo swallowed something that caused a severe intestinal blockage. He’s been throwing up, refusing food, and crying in pain. The vet told us that he needs emergency surgery immediately — or he won’t survive.
Theo is still just a baby. He hasn’t even had the chance to live yet. He’s never gotten to run free in the park, chase a ball, or curl up peacefully in a sunny spot. All he knows right now is pain, and it’s breaking my heart.
The surgery is expensive — far more than my family can afford right now. We’re doing everything we can, but we’re struggling just to keep up with basic expenses. I’m terrified I’ll lose Theo simply because I can’t come up with the money fast enough.
I love him so much. He’s not just a pet — he’s my best friend, my emotional support, and a bright light in my life. If you’ve ever loved a dog, you know that they become family. And right now, my family is trying to save ours.
If you can help — even just $5 — it would mean everything to me. And if you can’t donate, please, please share this. Every little bit counts, and time is running out.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and care about a little life like Theo’s. We’re praying for a miracle, and you might be part of it.
