Help Theo save the planet at grad school in Belgium

Hello, my name is Theo Bradford and one year ago I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainability. I graduated with a 4.0 while working full-time (or more than!). I am a first-generation, non-traditional college graduate. Having had the last 10 years to figure out what to do with my life, I decided to move forward with applying to Masters programs over the winter. I have an incredible opportunity to attend a university in Belgium. I have been accepted to a Masters in Sustainable Development at KU Leuven beginning in the fall. The program focuses on the societal component of sustainability transition, including social, economic, political and cultural dimensions. It is unique because of its interdisciplinary approach including a research portfolio, a Global South field trip and project development, an internship, and a thesis. Curious and want to learn more? https://susdev.eu/
Due to the program being out of the country, I can’t apply for federal student loans and I did not receive the large fellowship grant I applied for. As most other scholarship opportunities have passed this year, I will not be able to attend without raising the funds to prove solvency. This is a requirement from the Belgian embassy to guarantee my ability to cover cost of living for the year. The money raised will go toward proving financial means to the embassy for visa approval, visa expenses, and tuition costs. Luckily, I will be able to explore scholarships and other funding opportunities for the second year as they require solvency one year at a time.
Thank you for reading my story and considering supporting my fundraiser. I would be honored to learn from experts in the sustainability field that will prepare me to join the workforce and act to save the planet. The timing is critical and I want to be a part of the change.
Help send me and my adorable cat, Tupac, to grad school.
